About us

Nehru Educational Society is an organization registered at Madurai in 1989 under Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act,1975. Based on the precious, golden suggestions of founder - president Mrs. V.R. Basinger, this society has been a vision of the enduring and sustaining efforts of Mr. Henry Basinger & Mrs. Kala Henry. Their motivating words echo not just in the corridors of the institutions under the society, but also into the thoughts and deeds of everyone who enter the campus every day.

The Society is for the promotion of education with high ideals and for the diffusion of useful knowledge. Its main objective is to establish , extend, promote the establishment or extension of educational institutions for the welfare of the general public. The society gives attention mainly on transforming young children into responsible citizens by making them physically strong, intellectually sound, morally upright and spiritually awakened to build a strong, vibrant Nation. It provides value based education which inculcates among the young students values that they need to imbibe and embalm within them. It employs over a 200 devoted and dedicated teachers, who undergo regular orientation programmes to upgrade their knowledge and sharpen their skills.

Our other objectives are

• • To establish, extend, promote the establishment of Hospitals with all types of aid and other centres to provide health care facilities to the general public.
• • To promote and cultivate Fine Arts such as Bharatha Natyam, Carnatic and Western music and instrumental music etc. or to be taught to develop the inherent talents in students.
• • To organise and maintain hostel for the benefits of the students of the school and to the public.

Today, these institutions have become an inspiration, a thought for so many others to derive motivation. The chain will go on and on. The flame of the idea will spread far and wide giving light and warmth to millions. Thus immortalizing the ideas and vision of our Lord in transformation of the society.
